Special Ed Hacks- Voice recording for testing
Been debating on what to post for my first blog post. What better than a special education hack to make your life easier! Work smarter not harder!
If you're like me several of your students have IEP's which require them to be read to during testing. My first thought 10 years ago was "How am I gonna pull that off there is only 1 of me 5 students need their test read?" Our district had us using a complicated recording website that we had only one password for the whole district and had to monitor the students extra closely so they did not accidentally delete our recording or test! YIKES! Luckily with the invention of google classroom, drive, and https://online-voice-recorder.com/ I have a crazy easy solution for you! Record yourself reading the test and place it in google classroom under the individual student. Here's how:
1. Record yourself reading your test at https://online-voice-recorder.com/. (Read slowly and deliberately.)
2. Save the recording to your computer. (If using a Chromebook you will be able to upload the recording directly into your Google Drive)
3. Open up your google classroom and create an assignment.
4. Select the students that you want to have access to the file.
5. Click the paper clip or drive icons depending on where you saved your recording.
